You know that feeling when you’ve been able to sense something for a while and then someone gives you language for that thing? This is exactly what happened to me when I read Dorcas Cheng-Tozun’s new book! In Social Justice for the Sensitive Soul, Dorcas helps those of us who might be Highly Sensitive People (HSP’s), or empaths, or introverts (or some combination of the three) name these aspects of our personalities and helps us see how we can engage in justice work well, just as we are. Even if you don’t consider yourself an HSP, this conversation has a lot to say about how we can lean into the unique personalities and gifts God has given us and work for the good of the people around us.
