I am so stoked to welcome Drew Jackson back to the podcast! His first book, and this volume two are some of my favorite books of poetry. What Drew has done by putting the Gospel of Luke in conversation with his own context is theological art at its finest. The problem is, this kind of thing usually leaves us with more questions than answers (which stinks sometimes! Drew agrees). In this conversation, Drew and I talk about power dynamics, systemic racism, loss, and the frustration found in some of Jesus’ parables.
