Three words at the top of Marlena Grave‘s website sum it up: Jesus. Formation. Justice. These are the foci of what she does as a writer, professor, thinker, mother, wife, community activist, advocate, speaker, and so much more. She and her husband, Shawn, have co-edited a book along those lines called The Gospel of Peace in a Violent World and Marlena joined me to talk about it. This is a title (and conversation!) you don’t want to miss if you’re interested in a Christian scholarly perspective on subjects that are impacting our communal flourishing today like war, racism, immigration, and ecology.
