It was only a few years ago that I was introduced to breath prayers. In the beginning of the pandemic, Osheta Moore, spiritual director and pastor, hosted morning times of Scripture-reading and breath prayers and these practices were so much of what kept me during those times. Now, we have another resource to encourage us in this amazing and ancient practice. Jennifer Tucker, artist and mother, shares of her family’s journey in her beautifully illustrated book, Breath as Prayer. What began as a difficult health crisis for her daughter has slowly been formed into the use of daily breath prayers as a way to connect more deeply with God. Whether you’ve never heard of breath prayers or they’re a regular part of your walk with the Lord, I know you’ll find this conversation to be encouraging and uplifting.
