Alicia Akins has written a beautiful book called Invitations to Abundance and came on the podcast to talk about it! Alicia serves as a deaconess at her church, is a biblical studies graduate student at Reformed Theological Seminary, and works in international education in Washington D.C. Her gorgeous book narrates the feasts of the Bible and explores how God invites us, not just into nourishment, but into abundance. Through hardship, temptations, poverty (physical and spiritual), grief, injustice – God is with us, calling us to himself. From Passover to Revelation, God’s unending goodness and generosity is on display.
