Welcome back to the podcast, Mae Cannon! Mae and I last spoke when her most recent book, Beyond Hashtag Activism, released and I knew then I wanted to have her back. This time she talks peace and politics in the Middle East. As far as knowledge and activism are concerned, Mae and the organization she leads are on the front lines. Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) is a coalition working to promote sound U.S. policy as well as provide holistic education on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. The conversation around the topic is nuanced and complex, still Mae and CMEP challenge and encourage Christians to believe that “…Justice can prevail. Peace is possible.”
