Episode 120 - Cindy Wu
/

My guest this week is fellow Houstonian, Cindy Wu, Program Manager with Houston Welcomes Refugees. Cindy studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has written an incredible workbook for believers looking to expand their practical theology on the topic of refugees called A Better Country. Cindy’s passion for serving refugees was birthed in her at a young age. She is the daughter of immigrants from Taiwan and through them, experienced what it is like to be a newcomer. In this conversation we touch on the theological, the practical, and the local aspects of ministry to and with refugees. We look to our Savior, Jesus, as the ultimate example of a stranger in the world and to his compassion for neighbor love.
