Alan Noble joins me to talk about his latest book, You Are Not Your Own. The concept is simple, but as we know simple does not usually mean easy to live out. As believers we understand that we belong to Christ and to each other, not to ourselves, but culture tells us something very different. We are bent on living efficiently with data to back up what we do and don’t do from legislating substances to designing our office environments. But efficiency was never the goal for humanity. Belonging to Jesus and living like it, that’s where we find the depths of our beings.
Alan’s book is not a how-to or a self-help, it’s an exploration into the concept of belonging and humanity and it comes from an author whose day job is English professor, so he might have read a little on the subject.
