Karen González joins me on the podcast to talk about immigration and the Bible. Karen’s experiences as an immigrant and her seminary education bring unique perspectives I hope we will all take the time and space to consider. As a child, Karen immigrated to the U.S. with her family from Guatemala. In her book, The God Who Sees, she shares excerpts of her own story and also the stories of familiar Bible characters whose migration played a big part in their journeys of faith. From Abraham to Ruth to Karen’s great-uncle, each person’s story of migration is unique, beautiful, and complex.
