Rondell Treviño is the founder and director of an incredible organization called The Immigration Coalition. Rondell and his team provide clean drinking water to communities along the Mexico-U.S. border as well as educational resources for churches and pastors about immigration in America. Listen to the end of the episode to hear how you can partner with them in this good work.
I first came into contact with Rondell through Twitter where he regularly encourages and challenges Christians to gospel centered critical thinking and acting. In this conversation, we talked a lot about the insurrection in our nation’s capital on January 6, 2021 when far-right extremists stormed the halls of Congress in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. You have no doubt seen the Christian symbols used in the riots. Rondell gives his perspective on what we are witnessing in the Church when it comes to this unholy mix of religion and politics (not all mixes of these two need be un-holy, by the way).
Thanks for listening!
