Mary Jo Sharp grew up in the Pacific Northwest as an atheist, moved to the Bible Belt for college, and became a Christian. But her faith journey was not as predictable as that makes it sound. When she experienced hypocrisy in the Church she felt her budding faith getting trampled. She began studying apologetics to try and get answers to help her make sense of what she was experiencing. Her latest book, Why I Still Believe captures that tension and makes the case that God is never far from us in our doubts and struggles.
Mary Jo is currently an assistant professor of apologetics at Houston Baptist University. Connect with Mary Jo Sharp and her ministry, Confident Christianity, at maryjosharp.com.
