The topic of jubilee is one that sometimes has me feeling a bit…skeptical. It’s not that I don’t like the concept, I do. It’s just that it’s a tough one to talk about it in a way that seems faithful to the biblical texts and practical for real life. Enter Kelley Nikondeha! She is a theologian, married to a practitioner, who have both spent years wrestling with what it would look like to live out jubilee concepts in their contexts. Her new book, Jubilee Economics tracks their process as they try to figure out how to combine what they see in the biblical texts with the needs of the people around them.
