Have you ever thought about Communion in the context of the Psalm 23? What about Peter’s denial and redemption in the context of the first Passover out of Egypt? They have more in common than you might think. In all of these, God prepares a table to SHARE with us in the presence of our very enemies. At first this idea made me uncomfortable, but now I realize there’s nothing better than dining with the very Prince of Peace.
