Episode 357 – Varina Willse

Oh my gosh! I had soooo much fun chatting with Varina for this episode! She wrote a book on prepositions and God, which is just so fabulous. Beneath and Between contains chapters featuring 15 different prepositions and how they can be used to describe our relationship to God. Highlights for me included flashbacks to the cat poster that helped me learn prepositions in grade school, lol; prepositions as relational words; nouns for God falling flat; outsider art; God as beneath (very different from above, though God is also above…); and God as midwife, helping us with generative labor. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!
