Okay. I hope you have *half* as much fun listening to this episode as Malcolm and I had recording it! We went in with no notes, no background reading material, and (almost) no filters. Malcolm first came on the podcast in 2020 and we talked about his dissertation work on the history of lynching in America. His area of study more broadly is racialized violence in the American church and he has a book coming out in 2025 with Brazos Press on how greed intersects with the subject matter. (For clarity, as we mention in episode, the subject matter is not “fun,” but engaging with Malcolm in this way is a joy!) Rev. Dr. Malcolm Foley is the Special Advisor to the President for Equity and Campus Engagement at Baylor University and a pastor at Mosaic Waco.
